“The Home Protection Act of 2013 seeks to keep flood insurance rates affordable for residents of South Louisiana. With rates for homeowners and businesses set to unfairly skyrocket in the near future, this legislation delays the phase out of grandfathered flood insurance rates. Until the National Flood Insurance Program develops a long-term solution fair for all stakeholders and communities in low-lying areas, I will continue fighting on behalf of the residents of South Louisiana.”
