Governor Bobby Jindal Announces the Appointment of Rep. Sam Little to the Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Board of Directors

BATON ROUGE, LA - September 16, 2008 - (RealEstateRama) — Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Representative Sam Little to the Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Board of Directors.

The Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Board of Directors is responsible for operating insurance plans which provide property insurance for residential and commercial property for applicants who are in good faith entitled, but are unable to procure insurance through the voluntary market.

According to statute, the commission is comprised of fifteen members, nine of which are gubernatorial appointments subject to senate confirmation and include the following:

Rep. Sam Little, of Bastrop, is a retired farmer and is a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives representing the 14th District. Little was nominated by the largest insurer in state, the Farm Bureau, as required by statute.
