Governor Bobby Jindal Announces the Appointment of Sara Simmonds to the White Lake Property Advisory Board

BATON ROUGE, LA – August 3, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Sara Simmonds to the White Lake Property Advisory Board.

The White Lake Property Advisory Board is housed under the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. The board administers, controls, and manages the White Lake Property, which is a conservation area encompassing more than 70,000 acres in Vermillion Parish.

According to statute, the board is comprised of sixteen members including one member from nominations submitted by the President of the Senate.

Sara Simmonds, of Alexandria, is a member of the Louisiana Ornithological Society and a supporter of the International Crane Foundation. Simmonds was nominated by Senate President Joel Chaisson, as required by statute.
