Governor Bobby Jindal Announces the Appointment of Sterling Joe Ory to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission

BATON ROUGE, LA – September 30, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Sterling Joe Ory to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.

The commission serves to protect the public interest in real estate transactions and other real estate related activities.

According to statute, the commission is comprised of eleven members appointed by the governor, including:

• One member appointed from each of the seven supreme court districts;
• Two members appointed at-large;
• One member appointed from either the Fourth or the Fifth Congressional District; and
• One member appointed from either the First, Second, Third, Sixth, or Seventh Congressional District.

Sterling Joe Ory, of New Orleans, is a Broker and Owner of Joe Ory, Inc./Sterling Realty Group. Ory will be appointed to serve as a member appointed from the Seventh Congressional District, as required by statute.
