Louisiana Volunteer Honored with Bill Polley Award

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 2, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Michael LeCorgne, an account executive with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, has been honored with the Bill Polley/BUILD-PAC Award by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

The award is presented annually during the NAHB International Builders’ Show to a recipient whose energy, enthusiasm and recruiting talent translates into additional donations to support home building advocacy efforts through NAHB’s political action committee. It is named in honor of the late Bill Polley, known throughout the association for his ardent loyalty and support.

LeCorgne’s efforts led to more contributions from new members than any other BUILD-PAC volunteer in 2011.

“To accomplish these efforts, one must understand the importance of advocacy, translate that into the importance of giving to BUILD-PAC, and then go one step further to ensure the contributor knows that our legislative efforts on Capitol Hill have a DIRECT impact on the business climate of every individual who chooses to invest in BUILD-PAC,” said 2011 BUILD-PAC chair Granger McDonald, who presented the honors during February’s Associates Award Breakfast.

“This, by no means, is an easy task – especially in today’s budget constrained environment – but it is clearly one that today’s winner has mastered,” McDonald said.

A volunteer at his state and local home building associations as well as NAHB, LeCorgne also holds the Certified Graduate Associate, Certified Green Professional and Certified New Home Sales Professional educational designations and serves as an instructor for NAHB designation classes. He lives in Mandeville, La.
