LOUISIANA HOUSING CORPORATION STRENGTHENS COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH MAJOR REBRANDING

-

NEW WEBSITE SERVES AS A HUB TO SHARE RESOURCES WITH HOMEBUYERS, HOMEOWNERS, RENTERS, HOUSING PROFESSIONALS, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.

BATON ROUGE – (RealEstateRama) — The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) today announced a major rebranding to reflect the organization’s increased focus on community development and accessibility. LHC has a long history of providing access to safe, affordable housing through development and funding, but this new initiative strengthens its commitment to community development and accessible housing.

“Housing is the most important factor in our lives,” LHC Executive Director Keith Cunningham says. “Our job is to build communities, starting with housing. This rebranding demonstrates a rededication to that purpose. It also gives us an opportunity to clearly identify ourselves as both housing provider and community developer.”

The goal of the rebranding is to increase accessibility, says Director of Public Affairs Na’Tisha Natt. “We want people to be able to find the information that they need most, so for us, this is an opportunity to make ourselves more available to the community.”

A newly designed website is the centerpiece of this accessible, community-focused brand. The website connects homebuyers, homeowners, renters, housing professionals, and government agencies with the resources and information they need to increase access to and development of safe, affordable housing throughout the state.

In the past, LHC has operated more as a finance agency or a bank, which has limited its ability to help those most in need. “Our true role is that of a community developer. This new rebranding and website reflect that goal,” Cunningham says. “Housing can’t exist on an island.”
