Major Housing Organization Provides Substantial Rehabilitation of Military Family Homes

Washington D.C. – August 7, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, Rebuilding Together, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership, proudly announced that their Veterans Housing program completed substantial rehabilitation and repairs at the homes of 500 military families across the country.

Rebuilding Together is the lead national nonprofit working to keep America’s veterans and active military in their own homes by providing critical repairs and accessibility modifications,” said Gary A.  Officer, President & CEO of Rebuilding Together.    “The flood gates are just opening as more and more troops return home with a need for our services.   Rebuilding Together is prepared and committed to helping them make the transition as easy as possible.”

Rebuilding Together created a Veterans Housing program to meet the growing needs of veterans from past and present wars filling the gaps in modifications and repair services that retired and active service men and women struggle to meet.

Rebuilding Together’s Veterans Housing owes much to partners such as Sears Holdings, Bank of America and Booz Allen Hamilton whose steadfast support in both funding and volunteer engagement has helped so many deserving military families.
