Mayor Mayo Joins Effort to End Veterans Homelessness

WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 18, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — What: Mayor Mayo joins effort to end Veterans homelessness.  The Louisiana Housing Corporation pledges an additional $134,775 in Emergency Shelter Grant funding to be awarded to The Wellspring via the City of Monroe Community Development Division.

This funding is in line with the White House initiative to help end Veteran homelessness.  Mayor Mayo plans to submit a resolution, at the August 25 Monroe City Council meting, in support of this federal initiative and requesting the council to approve the allocation of this funding to The Wellspring.
