SCOTUS Halts EPA’s Illegal Job-Killing Power Plan

U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) issued the following statement regarding last night’s U.S. Supreme Court decision to stay implementation of President Obama’s Clean Power Plan (CPP) until current litigation is resolved.

The Jefferson Parish Department of Property Maintenance Zoning Quality of Life conducted a sweep on the Eastbank in Council District 4 on Wednesday, January 27, 2015 and Thursday, January 28, 2015. The streets included in the sweep were Longwood Drive, Oak Grove Drive, Ridgefield Drive, Riverside Street, Rosebank Drive and Wytchwood Drive.

DOTD set to start Luling Bridge replacement and repairs project

Mayor Mitch Landrieu joined FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate to announce a final settlement of $2 billion for Hurricane Katrina-related damage to New Orleans’ roadways and subsurface infrastructure, including water, sewer and drainage pipes. The settlement of $1.2 billion in previously unobligated recovery funds brings total to over $2 billion secured under the Landrieu Administration for roads and subsurface infrastructure.
