DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER OPENS IN BOSSIER CITY, LOUISIANA

A disaster recovery center will open Saturday, March 19, in Bossier City to help Louisiana flood survivors. This center is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

The City of New Orleans today issued a reminder that Monday, February 1, 2016, is the payment deadline for 2016 property taxes. Residents are strongly encouraged to pay their property taxes online or by mail on or before Monday, Feb. 1 to avoid long lines at City Hall.

Water Outage Scheduled for Reserve, Garyville, & Mount Airy Monday Night

Beginning at 10:00 p.m. tonight, the St. John the Baptist Parish Utilities Department will shut off water pressure to water customers located in Water District #1 (Reserve, Garyville and Mount Airy), and begin making repairs to a main water line. Water pressure is expected to be restored within 6 to 8 hours.

First Online Auction for Adjudicated Properties Scheduled for July 1

The City of New Orleans will host the first in a series of online monthly auctions for adjudicated properties on July 1, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., subject to a rolling close in the case of last-minute competitive bidding. The City is scheduled to sell about 89 properties throughout the city, and the sale will provide winning bidders with full ownership of each property.
